![]() It is such a shame that this 2 years old chipset doesn't get recognized by Linux Kernel automatically because i saw it's excellent performance in Windows with speedy data transfer and high signal capability. There should be so many people who has devices with this chipset because i saw that Asus, Netgear, Sparklan, Edimax made usb wifi devices with it. I can see the device getting activated when i use "lsusb" and "dmesg" commands but nothing happens in the network section. Only the driver at gets installed without any errors but the usb wifi doesn't work despite it's successful installation. The driver provided by Mediatek looks like the identical copy of the one given by Edup, so i couldn't compile again!. It's probably written for Kernel v2.x and it gives so many errors. I couldn't manage to compile the driver provided by EDUP. No matter what i tried, i couldn't install&activate it's driver. I have recently bought this usb wifi dongle with Mediatek MT7612U chipset and unfortunately faced with these problems.
